Municipality of Tubod
A Progressive Capital Municipality
Tubod is the capital municipality of the Province of Lanao del Norte in Northern Mindanao. Rich in culture, history, agriculture, and public service, Tubod has become an important center for governance, education, commerce, and community development.
The municipality continues to invest in education as one of its highest priorities, recognizing that an educated population contributes to sustainable economic growth, improved quality of life, and stronger local communities.
Through Tubod College, the municipality continues to empower its youth by providing opportunities for higher learning without requiring students to leave their hometown.
Building the Future Through Accessible Higher Education
Tubod College was established through the vision and commitment of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of the Municipality of Tubod, Lanao del Norte, to make quality higher education accessible to students within the municipality and neighboring communities.
Recognizing that education is one of the most effective investments for community development, the Municipal Government initiated the establishment of a local higher education institution that would provide affordable degree programs while producing graduates equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values needed for nation-building.
From its humble beginnings, Tubod College has continuously expanded its academic offerings, strengthened faculty development, improved learning facilities, and embraced innovations in teaching and learning.
Today, the College continues to grow as a center of academic excellence, community engagement, research, and public service, empowering students to become competent professionals and responsible citizens.
The establishment of Tubod College reflects the Municipality’s commitment to ensuring that financial limitations do not prevent deserving students from obtaining quality tertiary education.
For many years, students from Tubod had to travel to neighboring cities and municipalities to pursue college education. While many succeeded, others faced financial and transportation challenges that made higher education difficult to access.
To address these challenges, the Municipal Government envisioned creating a college within the municipality that would provide accessible, affordable, and community-responsive education.
Tubod College became a symbol of opportunity, opening its doors to students who aspired to improve their lives through education while remaining close to their families and communities.
